What you can expect

Set sail to Rottnest Island off the Fremantle coast to enjoy the stunning tropical island paradise with snorkelling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the agenda for the day. Rottnest Island is an adventurer’s playground and a luxury sailing eco catamaran is the best way to experience it all in comfort and style.

Let the friendly crew guide you on a day of discovery taking in Rottnest Island's coastline by sailboat. Anchored up at one of the many picturesque bays you'll be free to head of for a swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters brimming with marine life. If you're lucky, you may even be joined by playful sea lions or a pod of dophins. Get ready for more adventure as the huge cargo net is lowered at the back of the boat so you can enjoy your very own ocean spa bath.

Just when you start feeling peckish, a buffet lunch is served before some relaxing free time where you might take advantage of the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. To complete your memorable day, get ready to trim the sails as you head back to port, arriving around 4pm back in Fremantle. Please note this experience does not stop off at the island - it is a fully water based tour starting and ending at Fremantle.

Highlights

  • Picturesque bays to enable you to take every opportunity to enjoy the luxury catamaran
  • Swim, kayak, recline in the cargo net or head for the reefs for a snorkel, or just snooze and relax onboard either in the comfortable trampolines up front between the hulls or on the lounged shaded rear deck
  • You are welcome to take part in the sailing, raising, lowering and trimming sails or taking the helm
  • Delicious morning tea and lunch including a variety of meats, salads, cheese, breads, fruit, cakes, pastries, coffee and teas

  • Cruises depart 8am and returns 4pm at the front of Cicerello's, 44 Mews Rd, Fremantle (Cicerello's Landing)

Additional Information
  • There is plenty of car parking available at Sardine Jetty. It is a 15 minute walk from the Fremantle Train Station
  • Expectant guests who are 28-36 weeks pregnant will require medical clearance to board. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone over 36 weeks gestation

  • A buffet lunch is served which includes a variety of meats, salads, cakes and other items. Guests are also welcome to BYO food or drinks (no spirits).
  • Please advise us of any serious allergies (i.e. anaphylaxis) that the crew need to be aware of
  • Please advise us of any pre existing injuries or medical conditions. A doctors clearance may be required before boarding.
  • You must arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Allow extra time for traffic and parking, as we cannot hold the boat up if you are running late.
  • This is a fully water based activity. The vessel does not disembark at the Rottnest Island jetty
  • Tour requires crossing through open water. If you have any concerns about seasickness please speak to a pharmacist well in advance of your day. Some medications need to be taken 24 hours prior.
  • Tour requires minimum numbers to proceed. If this is not reached we will contact you in the days prior to discuss options
Terms And Conditions
  • Public departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers.
  • Minimum age of 5 required to participate on this tour. All children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
  • Sailing is an outdoor experience. Perfect sunny conditions cannot be not guaranteed.
  • The choice of direction and bay traveled to is based on wind and swell conditions on the day, as well as journey time restrictions.
  • Charter 1 reserves the right to reschedule tours where minimum numbers are not met, or when unsafe weather conditions are forecast, or evolve, at any time, including right up until departure. Late minute weather changes can and do happen, albeit are rare. Guest safety and enjoyment is our number 1 priority. If required, your operator will be in touch directly with as much notice as possible.
  • Please ensure you read all communications sent to you including reminder emails, which contain important information.
  • We cannot hold up the vessel and other guests if you are late, so please arrive early and be waiting at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Please note the departure location on your booking confirmation and reminder email.
  • The use of drones is prohibited.
  • No heel or dark sole shoes please. Barefoot is preferred.
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows will be unable to rebook, so please take care to ensure you arrive on time and do not miss the boat.
  • Rescheduling: Requests for reschedules must be sent via email directly to the operator, contact details will be provided once your experience is confirmed. Please quote your booking reference and requested changes. Please note only one reschedule will be allowed per booking and must be re-booked within the same season. Subsequent changes incur a fee of $25pp
  • Participant Changes: Requests for participant name changes are permitted and must be sent via email directly to the operator at least 24 hours prior to departure. Operator contact details will be provided once your experience is confirmed. Please provide guests full name, mobile number and email address.
